Status: Ongoing phased restoration
Historical Significance: Built in 1897 as French’s Block and then rebuilt in 1899 after a fire as French’s New Opera House and hall. In 1915 it was used as a masonic temple.
Project Scope:
Historic Preservation Conditions Assessment to investigate and document building deficiencies.
Phased exterior restoration of masonry, windows, storefronts, and marquee.
Design and documentation of code upgrades including new egress and ADA access accommodations.
Design of future interior renovations to improve functionality of theater and support spaces.
