The project presents two issues to be resolved and coordinated: the restoration of a deteriorating historical facade, and the reconfiguration of building entry and circulation plans. The existing vacant take-out restaurant becomes a gracious elevator lobby, accessed directly through a relocated entry vestibule. The new vestibule and storefront are in a style faithful to the elements of the historical facade.
